The day began with an insightful tour of our premises, where visitors were introduced to the intricate workings of our factory operations. Bongani Vilakazi, our Design Lead and Pre-Press Manager, led the initial segment of the tour. He showcased the beginning stages of production, including the briefing and development of design mockups. Bongani’s demonstration of the digital printing process highlighted our commitment to quality, emphasising the rigorous attention to detail in our quality control procedures.

Ensuring Uninterrupted Production

One of the key highlights of the tour was our state-of-the-art UPS inverters, which are installed to prevent interruptions in production and protect our sophisticated machinery. This investment ensures that we maintain continuous, high-quality output regardless of external power fluctuations.

The Canon IX 3200 Series: A First in Africa

CFO Yegan Ramen captivated the audience with a discussion about our pioneering acquisition of the Canon IX of the 3200 series, the first of its kind in Africa. He detailed the meticulous process of reinstalling and recalibrating the machinery to suit South African conditions, underscoring our dedication to leveraging advanced technology for superior print quality.

Our Production Manager, Pravesh Deolal, then guided our visitors through the production floor. He provided a comprehensive overview of the lithographic printing section, illustrating the sophisticated processes involved in this traditional printing method. The tour continued through our finishing processes, where guests observed high sheen lamination and the meticulous work carried out on our binding floor.
